Upper Limb - Sales Specialist (Remote within Central USA)

**Must be based in the region responsible for. States such as North/South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas.

Hours: 40 hours/ WK

Location/Contract set up: Remote - Central US** (Working from Home)

Start date: ASAP

Salary band range (dependent on experience): $50K - $70K Base Salary plus Commission

Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer

Role Specification:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Specialist , with proven experience of driving sales plans, ideally for Upper Limb Prosthetics . This is a role where you will need to build and develop business relations, promote our product, be a confident point of contact for our healthcare professionals and Open Bionics partners. You will be result driven and business minded to strategically achieve annual sales targets.

Key responsibilities:

Regional responsibility: Central US [North/South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansa, Louisiana, Texas]

** Travel expected - 25% to 50% per month

  • Delivers and drives the sales targets and business objectives for our products in your region.
  • Be technically proficient on Open Bionics products and technology.
  • Keep up to date with relevant organization and product updates.
  • Drive specific performance goals regarding relevant strategic objectives and sales targets.
  • Assess and analyze region performance and customer information. Identify/ monitor trends, competitor data and sales potential. Adjust strategy accordingly. Share learnings with key decision makers, leadership, and partners.
  • Develop, manage and maintain strong business relationships with key UL customers and industry leaders.
  • Facilitate and drive promotion, training and education of Open Bionics products to relevant partners : Clinicians, industry leaders and business owners.
  • Partner with relevant clinical services and professions to provide training and education on Open Bionic products.
  • Identify and attend relevant local and regional trade shows, conferences and industry meetings
  • Maintain consistent and open communication with key stakeholders: commercial, patient/customer care and marketing .
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration with commercial, patient/customer care and marketing strategies to support effective activities.
  • Together with the marketing and design team continuously feedback and develop external communication strategy: product relation communication, brand guidelines, press and public relations, external communication and events promotion.

  • Min 3 years proven experience in a sales, market or product management role.
  • Business minded and result driven: proven analytic skills to interpret and take appropriate action on data.
  • Strong leadership skills : ability to build and maintain relationships. Taking ownership and accountability for your region.
  • Experience working in health/patient care or medical device environments.
  • Confident and competent presenter to train others.
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage various pieces of work at one given time in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and strategically through effective time management.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region to fulfill the role responsibilities. Including overnight stays.
  • Full clean driving license.


  • University degree in related field.
  • Experience in Prosthetics Industry or other Medical Device Sales.
  • Extensive experience in training, supporting and mentoring others.
  • Experience working in an SME - Start up.
  • Advanced level with Google suite: slides, sheets and doc. (Microsoft office alternatives)
  • Remote working but based in Texas.
